restoring "deleted items" in my home computer.

After I merged my "outlook express" into Outlook, some of my folders appeared
in my deleted items. Today I was trying to delete true deleted items, I got
to the mail I wanted to save and return them to another folder. I was using
the shift button to highlight many emails at a time to delete. All of the
sudden I noticed the folder was starting to empty completely. I hit the
cancel button, however it continued to empty it all. I am not a wiz at
computer jargon. Would restoring the computer to yesterdays information help
at all? I am using MS Office 2007 in Windows XP.
Thank you in advance.

If you’re talking about restoring a backup from yesterday, then yes that
would help. If you're talking about using the Windows System Restore tool,
then no, that won't help.

If restore wouldn't help.. as I don't have back-up of the yesterdays emails.
Then anybody know what I could do.. At this time Outlook hasn't been closed
yet.

Thanks,
Sally
