Roster mail merge form

I'm trying to create a roster from an excel worksheet. My Roster form is a
table created in Publisher 2000 SP3. When I use mail merge and select the
column headings from Excel and I put <<name>>,<< address>>,etc in the first
row of the table. When I show the merged data it all appears in the first
row. When I put <<name>> etc in the next row it puts the same dat in both
rows. How can I get the 87 rows of the spreadsheet into 87 table rows in
publisher. Would it be any better using the publisher address list. the
spread sheet I have works great for labels, envelopes, etc. I looked on the
PUB MVP website but I did not find any help or sample forms.

What you need to do is create a custom size label that is long and thin if
you want it in a line.

With Publisher up to version 2002, you can only have one merge field per
page.

With Publisher 2003 you can create more than one, but not in a Table.

The Publisher address list performs the same way.

Thanks for the info, its what I suspected. As for Pub 2003, it requires WIN
XP and I'm not ready to buy new hardware to support XP.

It does not require Windows XP. It runs on Windows 2000 SP3 or later.
