Same Resource in Master Schedule?

Hello All.
I am running Project 98 but will be upgrading soon. In 98, I have a master
schedule that has 2 project schedules. I have the same resource in both
project schedules and the resource is working on both at the same time. 98
does not show a conflict for the resource. Will the new versions show
resource allocations across projects? If not, is there a way to solve this?

Hello Mark,

Project 98 manage resource sharing as well. You just need to share the
resources :
Tools / Share resources / Share resource/ Use resources from...

Then try a leveling:
Tools / Level resources...

Excellent. My problem was that I set up my individual projects before
setting up my master. I think that the best way to go about this is to:
1. Create the master schedule with all resources.
2. Create the sub schedule
3. Assign that the sub schedule use the resources from the master

It's all so simple now. Thanks for your help!
