Save and Open in office take a really long time to complete.

When I save a file in Office programs my system takes an inordinate amount of
time to complete the task. Every time I try to go to a different file, it
takes anywhere from 3-10 minutes to access that file. Problem does not
happen when I am opening a file from the file view.

Two things to try:

1. Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop, left-click
on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped network drives that
are not currently available.

2. If you're using Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, then disable the Office
