Save as ... gif

It don't work. Visio 2002. Here's an example:

http://www.microeye.com/resources/ObjectModel2002.htm

Download this Visio file from this Microsoft Press Author. Then open it in Visio 2002. Twiddle your thumbs. Then after twiddling for a while you can try to Save As... in gif format. Then try to open the gif in Internet Explorer. It fails the file is corrupt. So at this article:

it's likely this has escaped Microsoft's notice. For none of their workarounds do anything.

I saved as jpg no problem

Are there any fixes to Save as... a Visio 2002 Diagram as gif? Thanks.

What? The Visio file is 512 KB to begin with. The jpg is 1.7MB. Are you saying you reduced a 1.7MG jpg to a 50KB gif? mmm... let's see what happens when I change the jpg to a gif...I get a 3.45 MB gif. When I did this from Visio 2002 I get about a 1.5MB corrupted gif. Did you try the Visio file I gave in my first post?

Hold the phone. There seems to be something wrong with my Browser. I converted the jpg to a gif. The 1.7MB jpg became a 2.3 MB gif. It did not display in IE. So I checked some other gifs. I had about a 50% success rate there. Little gifs and big ones. So I opened the gif in mspaint. There was nothing wrong with it.

I am going to have to check this out with my support professional. Thanks for helping me to become aware of this.
