save as option is not responding when saving doc

Every time I try to save as a doc, my computer just sits. What do I do?
Also, what would make the address drop arrow not work anymore?

It sounds like you are working with something other than Microsoft
Project, a planning and scheduling application. That is what this
newsgroup is devoted to. I suggest you try a newsgroup geared toward the
application you are using (Word?).
