I'm using Word 2000 and when I do a "Save As" twice on a new file the first time I'm only prompted for file properties? I have to go to "Save As" a second time to enter the filename. Any suggetions

Thanks

Save As doesn't in itself prompt for properties, so you must have some macro
code running in place of the built in commands. Check what it is, where it
came from, and why it's not behaving as you expect.

You are prompted for document properties because you have the "Prompt for
document properties" box checked on the Save tab of Tools | Options. This
affects only the first time you save an unnamed file. Thereafter when you
Save or Save As, you will not be prompted (unfortunately).
