Saving default printer

I work Tech support and I have a call where a user says that once someone
else edits her Publisher document, it changes the default printer to what the
other person uses. She originally said she couldn't print it but she just
had to specifically change it back to her local printer. Both the users are
in the same department and have access to the one printer. When I had her
send me the document, it came up to my default printer but I'm in MIS and
don't have access to their printer. I thought this could be normal for
Publisher since it depends highly on printing but wasn't sure. Should I try
to reinstall? I'd be grateful for any suggestions!
Thanks,
Gary

Reinstalling won't solve your problem (seldom solves anyone's). I know that
Publisher stores the pinter attributes along with the file to save much
grief. For example, when a particular document must be high resolution. Then
when you open a document and don't need or want the high resolution.

I might suggest that those that want to print, do so to a pdf. Then, print
the pdf. Lots of options for creating pdfs. Adobe Acrobat (not the reader)
(the most expensive), http://www.primopdf.com http://www.foxitsoftware.com
(a great suite).
