saving text

Here's my question....is it possible to write into a Word
macro:

copy text|open wordpad|paste text|save as Text.txt (to
desktop)|close
Wordpad|close Word active document.

I'm having an issue that this would solve entirely but I
dont know if its possible to
involve another program in a Word macro.

Hi Hamilton,

just tell us what you want to achieve.

It probably doesn't matter how to get what you want.
So asking for "how can I do this with..."
limits the answers unnecessarily.

"How can I do this", would be the question.

I am 100 percent sure that you don't need wordpad.

I was having trouble with importing text into Corel Ventura 10, I was
only able to not get jumbled text when I copied and saved into another
text editor. I did figure out that if I just pasted into a blank
document in Word I achieved the same thing, so I just wrote the macro to
paste the text into a blank document then saving, omitting the need to
use Wordpad. Regardless, I got it to work, I was just asking if its
possible to write in program outside of Word itself. Thanks for your help.
