scan then edit the page

I want to scan a page then go back into it and change the wording but when i
scan it i can't change anything on that page. then when i convet it i lose
the text it becomes all little boxs of nothing. can anyone help out there?
I just want ti scan a page and change some words on it.

Scanning a page of text produces an image of the text. You need to use
an Optical Character Resolution (OCR) program on the image to convert
it to editable text. Most scanners come with a limited version of OCR
software, such as Omnipage. These limited versions will do a decent
job on simple text. For more complicated text, it's often better to
invest in a better OCR program, such as ABBY Finereader or OmniPage
Pro.
