scanning word text document to be opened and edited in word

What are the steps necessary to do the following:

-Scan Word document
-Save document
-open document for text editing in Word?

Please help!

OCRing is the step you've missed. Scanning creates an *image* of the
original page. You need to use some OCR software to turn the image into
text. Save that, then open in Word and away you go.

The steps for scanning depend on your scanning software (nothing to do with
Word). The fact that the original document was created in Word is
irrelevant.

I use textpro 11. Open word go to file and open file and
then acquire text. I ususally at the end of the exercise
punch finish when text pro comes up with the OCR
corrections and then edit and correct in word
