Two projects inserted in a master project using shared resource pool.
first task in both uses the same resource set up with a calendar for 23hours
per day
first task in both has same start date
first project task has a duration of 20 hours
second project task has a duration of 18 hours
both start same time, as soon as possible, same resource
result is there is an overallocation
But project displays resource usage for each task as a split of work at "15"
hours a piece on the first day
that means 30 hours total work on the first day that has a resource calendar
constraint of 23 hours.
Why 30 hours and not 32 or for that matter not the full 38? What is the
resoning behind 15 hours per task
23 / 2 = 11.5. I could understand.
