scrambled images

I insert a picture or any image and when scrolling, the
image disappears or is chopped up and I can't use Word to
create any document because you can't see the pictures
consistantly. You position them, and then they are
scrambled up and sized wrong. Any help is appreciated
since Microsoft help is totally useless unless I pay them
$35.

Based on that description, I would recommend updating the driver for your
video display card.

Go to the Windows Control Panel, and look in System > Hardware > Device
Manager. (Device Manager's precise location may be different if you're not
using Windows XP.) Find the Manufacturer Name and model number for your
Display Adapter, then go to the manufacturer's web site for an updated
driver. Installation of the new driver should be fairly simple.
