Send/Receive disabled?

Don

Hello,
I am running Outlook 2000 under Win XP Pro. Tonight when
I opened Outlook after connecting to ISP and I clicked on
Send/receive a MS box opened for a couple of seconds and
said "The requested task was completed successfully" and
then went away. No messages were downloaded and I am
unable to send the messages in my outbox. I rebooted the
computer and same thing happened. I did a recovery using
my Office cd for Outlook. No luck. I checked my account
under Outlook and all info appears correct. I added a
second account with same info but no change.
I shut down my iHatespam program which is now a part of
Outlook but it did not change. I have not added any new
programs since last night when I was able to download my
e-mail without a problem. I have all updates for XP and
am running Spybot, Ad-aware and Zone Alarm.
Help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Don

Don,

Did you check with your ISP to make sure their mail server was up? In my experience when the process dialog window is displayed it is an issue with my ISP.

Hope this helps,

Ken N
