Serial number - activation code correlation

We recently moved. I have 5 copies of Office and 8 copies of XP. One of my
computers is ready for a motherboard upgrade. How can I correlate the serial
number with the activation code, so when I reload the machine I use the
correct copy of Office?

Use either Belarc Advisor or MagicalJellybean to obtain the correct
installation IDs for Windows and Office prior to the replacement. You can
do this for all you machines and affix the correct numbers to each
computer's case for future reference.
