Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

I am trying to install the microsoft service pack 1 and 2 for mac (I have the 2004 version) and each time the installer returns a message that it can't find the "correct version of office installed" and to check my system requirements. However, I am within all of the requirements.

Any suggestions?

Did you download via AutoUpdate or direct download from Mactopia? If you
downloaded from Mactopia, be sure you have the correct files.

There is only one service pack for Office 2004. You need the 11.5 combo
updater and the 11.5.1 updater.

It's very easy to get the wrong file on Mactopia now. I really hate the new
interface.
