Set a default color for a Milestone activity

Hi, how do I set the default color/font for a milestone activity so that it
stands out from all of the other activities? So each time I set the duration
to 0, the activity will change to blue and italicized?

Thanks

Apply the Gantt Chart view and then click Format - Text Styles. Select the
Item to Change pick list and choose the Milestone Tasks item. Set the text
formatting as you wish and then click the OK button.

Note: If you are using Project 2007, you can also change the cell
background color, if that helps you to identify Milestones more easily.

To make this the standard formatting for all Milestones in every project in
the Gantt Chart view, click Tools - Organizer and copy the Gantt Chart view
from the right side (in the active project) to the left side (into your
Global.mpt file). Hope this helps.

Yes, I recommend that people copy custom Views, Tables, Filters, and Groups
for the project in which they create them to the Global.mpt file. If people
want to modify the default Gantt Chart view, I have no problem with that
either. I agree with what you say. No argument there. I just assume
people know what they are doing. If they don't, I hardly consider that my
fault. Hope this helps.
