Setting "link to file" As Default When Inserting Pictures

Rick Corlett

I just discovered that you can link your pictures to files in Word 2003. This
will be a GREAT help to me. I would like to make ALL pictures I insert as
links rather than embeding them.

Is there a way to set "link to file" as the default instead of the generic
"insert" that is set as the default when Word is installed?

Thanks,

Rick

No, there's not. Although you could write a macro to do the work for you.
