Several recurring tasks won't work?

Hello happy MSP users!

Is it only me or is there a problem with MSP leveling tool whenever you
have several recurring tasks?

I couldn't figure out why MSP could never seem to resolve the
overallocated resources on my projects so I decided to do a sample
project and add my tasks one by one to see where the problem was and I
couldn't believe that until I had only one recurring task, the leveling
would work just fine but after adding the second one, it's as if MSP
wouldn't take the duration of the task into account...

And yes, I'm leveling hour by hour, I've allowed task-splitting.... I'm
just using one resource, I'm not playing around with the percentage
either... so it's pretty basic and I really don't get it so I'm ready
to give up on recurring tasks and create all of them manually but since
it's a huge work, I'm secretly hoping somebody will have the magic
line: "Hey Xavier, it's simple, you've only forgotten to...." <= fill
in the form here :)

Thanks for your time.

Hey Xavier,

It's simple... but you have to know
Recurring tasks are created with a priority of 1000, so leveling will
nottouch them; if two happen to be scheduled on the same moment you have an
overallocation.
If you allow Leveling to move recurring tasks, open the recurring task and
for each of the subtaks change priority to anything but 1000.
The fastest way to do this is by inserting the column Priority.

Aaaah! There you go, well thanks a lot, that's avoiding me quite a bit
of work! :)
