Sizing pictures in Word 2002

Is there any way to set a default picture size so that you don't have to go in and individually re-size each picture to a 3.5" x 5" or 4" x 6" photo in a report document?

I had that problem and someone answered it with this: Select the column that holds the pictures (before they are inserted). Then from the Table menu select autofit > fixed column width. The inserted pictures will adapt to the width of the column. Frames and text boxes will also constrain pictures to their width. However, we just upgraded to Word 2003 and it no longer works so I am going to put it out on the board again.
