Slow E-Mail

While I am online, and only when I am online, Outlook is
very slow when I switch btw any two e-mails in my inbox.
The problem goes away when I am not connected to the
net. I am running xp and office xp. I would greatly
appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Uncheck the option to use Instant Messaging under the Tools option.
