SMTP for T-Online

H

Heidi

Please help. I have two Earthlink email accounts. I am
trying to enable outlook to receive and send my
[earthlink.net] mail.
I can receive my mail but, since I reside in Germany, I
can't use Earthlink as my ISP nor as the SMTP; I have to
use T-Online[, so I am told]. So, now, when I compose
mail my "t-online.de" email address is noted as
the "sender's address".

Is there NO way around this??

Go to Properties of your account in Outlook.

Keep earthlink information for incoming (POP) mail and keep T-Online
information for outgoing (SMTP) mail.
A little way down on the same screen, for Outgoing mail server, check box
"My server requires authentication" and change settings with T-Online
username/password.

-Anne.
