Special Task that all tasks depend on

Good day,

I want to know if it is possible to create a task in such a way that all
other tasks depend on it, but without having to manually set that dependency
task by task. I have like a hundred tasks. If I create a new task I want it
to do it automatically, just in case I forget that restriction .

Well its real easy to do in one particular case. If that task is the
starting milestone, all you need to do is set the Project Start date
(Project/Project Information) to the date of the start milestone.
However, I'm guessing that's not quite what you want.

Project is a tool, not a management wizard. Data for Project to operate
on needs to be entered by the user. Such is the case with links between
tasks. There is no option that can be set to tell Project to link all
tasks to one particular task (other than as noted above). It may be
possible to do something like what you want with VBA but, a) that would
be overkill, and b) you will have to take some part in the planning
process.
