Split indication in fields?

Is there a way to show indication of split in the fields? (I know how to show
it in Bar Styles)

Perhaps a formula in a spare text field. You could compare duration to the
projDateDiff function. If a task is contiguous, projDateDiff and Duration
will be the same. If [Duration]>projDateDiff() then the task is split and
you could return "True" or another value to Text1.... then use a graphical
indicator if desired.

Caution: projDateDiff calculates with units of minutes so you will need to
compare [Duration] in minutes to projDateDiff. The conversion will depend on
hours/day, etc. There are 480 minutes in an 8 hour day.

Sorry, slipped a sign.. IIf(projDateDiff()>[Duration]"Task is
split","Contiguous").
projDateDiff will calculate the number of work minutes between to days
respecting holidays in the calendar.

if projDateDiff<Duration, I don't know how that would happen since it
appears to me this would violate the time continuum and MS Project does not
have permission to violate the laws of Physics.

Hello Yoav,

Search for a post titled "Filtering for Split Tasks" in this newsgroup
(Microsoft.public.project) from Dec 2005. You'll see some options
posted by MVP Gérard Ducouret for a formula and a VBA (Visual Basic for
Applications) option posted by MVP John. John's code goes a bit further
and creates a filter but you could just leave out that portion.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Thanks!
I changed a bit your suggestion:
IIf(projDateDiff(Start,Finish,"standard")>[Duration],"Task is
split","Contiguous")
It works just great.
You are the best!
Yoav
