Start date in "task usage"

I have a problem with View/Task Usage. Everytime I open my project, the
timewindows start months ago...

How can I set which date should be the start date, when displaying "task
usage".

I have tried to set "status date", and used "project update" to move all
unscheduled work to a far later date.

This problem means I have to scroll the timebar approx. 4 month after every
start of project, to get to the place where I can enter work.

I have loaded SP1 with no change

Hi Jan,

I don't have a "magic fix" for you but to make your life a bit easier,
select the task you wish to add work to and click the "Go to Selected Task"
button on the Standard toolbar. That will roll the time scaled portion of
the Task Usage view to the start of the selected task.

go to project / project information and check the "current date" setting.
