Starting an inserted video

I have a number of animation inserted into a slide presentation on PP 2002.
They start on a click but only if the mouse pointer is over them. How do I
start them on click without having to position the mouse courser over them??

Those will be triggered animations If you lookin custom animation and double
click the entry in the timing tab > triggers change "start effect on click of
.... "TO "as part of click sequence"

Click Slide Show > Custom Animation. Remove the play effect under trigger.
Now, click on the video. Click Add Effect > Movie Actions > Play.

That controls when the animation appears on the slide. I want to be able to
iniatiate the actual animation, after it is on the screen. Right now I can
only do that by having the mouse curser over the animation frame and then
clicking. I want the actual animation to iniate on a click irrespective of
where the curser is.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH. That was exactly the problem

I believe the one under triggered animation is the pause effect. So it will
still need to add the play effect (if you have selected "When clicked"), or
change the play effect's Start property to "On click" (If you have selected
"Automatically").
