stop the automatic closing of Outlook?

My outlook will automatically close after so many MINUTES of not looking. If
I have an item open at that time it will still close and leave the open item.
Once I close the open item I have to reopen Outlook. No one else in the
office has that problem.

There's no setting in Outlook for that. Is Outlook crashing with an error or
does it simply close?
