Subform won't link to itself

Help!
When I try to enter information in a text box on my subform, I get this
error message:

"A problem occured while Microsoft Acess was communicating with the OLE
server or Active X control. Close OLE server and restart it outside of
Microsoft Access then try original operation again in MS Access".

What does this mean? I've tried closing and opening Access again, but it
just happens all over again. Also, I noticed that the subform's table will
take information in the text box, but it doesn't appear in the same text box
on my subform with the main form in Form View.
