SUMMING TASKS IN PROJECT 2003

How do I sum the number of tasks in my project? I want to do this in order
to develop a bar chart displaying the number of tasks completed, over 50%
complete, and under 50% complete. I know how to group tasks, but the group
does not add the number of tasks in that group. Does anyone know how to do
this in project?

Define a Custom Task Number field. Name it something like Count. Set rollup
to be Count Nonsummaries.

You do not have to enter any data in this field.

Add this Count field to a view.

For each summary task and for the project as a whole, it will display the
number of nonsummary tasks. When you group tasks, such as by percent
complete, it will display the number of tasks in each group.
