Supress Office Configuration...

M

mene

Good morning,
What exactly is happening when a new user logs into a computer for the
first time and the Office Installation appears and being configuring? Is
there a way to supress this or prepare a workstation so that this does not
happen?

Thanks,
Mene

It is not everytime that this happens. Only the first time a user runs
Office. I was wondering if there is a way to supress this dialog because
they think it is in error and click cancel all the time and it is driving me
nuts. If you let it run successfuly once it does not appear again. So
asking for what it is exactly doing, I was hoping to have some insight into
a way of avoiding this message. Thank you for the link though because I
think I have seen that issue before.

Hi Mene,

It's basically creating a set of registry entries for
that user. See if the information here helps:
