Switch from Office 2000professional to 2003standard

Mary''s Dude

I recently changed computers, and I made the mistake of upgrading my Office
2000 Professional to the 2003 Standard upgrade. Now I can't open any of my
old Publisher files as the standard 2003 does not include Publisher in its
sofware. Is there any way to retrieve 2000 Publisher files without spending
big bucks? I kept the old hard drive with Office 2000 on it as my slave
drive, but Publisher files are not accessible.

Was Publisher pre-installed on your old computer or did you buy it retail?

I bought it retail.

In that case you should be able to do a custom install of Office 2000 and
only install Publisher.

Thanks for the sugestion...I'll give it a try and let you know if it doesn't
work. By the way when I logged on I used an appostrophy in Mary's Dude, and
now it has turned into multiple '''''s, is there anything I can do about that?
