Hello, I am posting this as a follow up to my original post seeking
documentation on the Project Server Gateway in Portfolio Server 2007.
I fully understand the Project Server Gateway functionality of bi-
directional Project Schedule updates. Where I am stuck is with the
resource updates. Here is what I did:
I created a schedule and had a resource with a custom field called
Position role at the resource level. I specified this field in
Portfolio server - Project Server Gateway Settings as the resource
field link.
I then created a project with the DBA role as the link. I scheduled
the DBA for a ton of hours and imported the project and synchronized
the Resources (between MSPS and MOPPS).
I expected the DBA to have fewer available hours or more assigned
hours in MOPPS, but this stat remained unchanged.
Can anyone explain to me how the resource updates work between MSPS
and MOPPS.
