Table problem in Word 2000

Michelle

I'm having problems with a document that contains multi-page tables. One row
in the table spreads over two pages. When I add a new row, it goes to a new
page. I want the row to continue on the same page. Can anyone help?

Hi Michelle

check the formatting in the text in the row before you add the new row. Make
sure that there are no keep with next, keep lines together or page break
before formatting on it. If there is such formatting, remove it from the new
row before entering any text.

Also, the "allow row to break across pages" option could be deselected
(Table > Properties > Row). If you want your table rows to break across
pages, you need to select this option.

If you don't allow rows to break across pages and your row is longer than a
page, then Word will break the row anyway, it can't do anything else. In this
case you may have problems printing the table as some of the older printer
drivers can't handle broken rows.
