I created a task calander. How do I get it to display the custom calander in
the task information: advanced tab in order to assign it to a task?

In Task Information, advanced (indeed) there is a little window "Calendar"
that offers teh possibility to see all available base calendars so you can
attach one to a task.
Do note that you will only see base calendars (created by the New button in
Tools, change working time), not resource calendars.

I created a base calander. It still doesn't display in the calander dropdown
of the advance tab.
