Is there a way to turn off all task dependecy? I want to setup a small
project using man hours and start dates that will not roll up for some task

I know this is not normal, but in this case it is what I need to do.
Thanks,

Steve,
". . .that will not roll up for some task correctly." Say what? How
should it roll up, incorrectly? Obviously, what you want is not being
communicated.
Task dependencies are not an "on" and "off" type of thing. Either tasks
are linked (dependent) or they are not. If you do not want links, don't
put anything in the Predecessor field.
Also, don't confuse Duration hours with Work hours (since you mentioned
man hours and start dates). Duration hours is the amount of working time
between the Start and Finish of a task. For fully independent tasks,
normally a task Start date and Duration value are entered and Project
then calculates the Finish date. Duration is the time during which the
task will be performed. On the other hand, Work is the time one or more
resources will spend actually doing the task. If a single resource is
assigned 100% to the task then Duration hours will equal Work hours.
However it is also quite normal to have fewer Work hours than task
Duration hours. For example, a one week task may only take 20 hours of
effort (the resource is assigned at 50%).
Hope this helps.
