Task Duration Varies as Project Duration Varies ... ?

I'm currently using MS Project 2000 - it may be upgraded to Project 200
in the near future.

I've created a project with a milestone at the project start, an
another milestone at the project finish.

I want to add a task, which is Supervision, which will have an effor
of 2 hours per week, and I want this task to start when the projec
starts, and finish when the project finishes, and add 2 hours per wee
for that duration.

So if the project goes out by (say) two weeks, then an extra two week
of supervision, at 2 hours per week, gets added to the project, and t
the cost.

I've tried a number of things, but I seem to finish up with either
couple of days of task duration at the end of the project, or I have t
manually add in the task duration for the effort to calculate against
neither of which is what I want.

Can this be done?

Thanks for any comments.

Guys,

Thanks for the response and advice. It's given me the result I wa
looking for.

I had looked through the FAQ's, but because the term "Hammock Task
meant nothing to me I didn't read it, so I missed the answer I wa
looking for.

Anyway, I'm right now.

Regards
