I'd like to have a template where a pop-up box appears every time I open the
document. I need to enter info like name, address, etc. Every letter is
different, so mailmerge doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

I use mailmerge for very individualized letters, legal documents, and court
pleadings. The mailmerge gives me my start, with the addresses in the right
place, correct reference to file numbers, etc. Then the document produced is
tailored to the particular circumstances. Take a look at mailmerge again.
