Text Box

When I go to Insert | Text Box , then I click on the screen, it starts a new
text box. But it starts out in "italic" text. Is there a way to set the
default settings for a text box?

Also ... perhaps this is just a comment ... when I click "Notify me of
replies" at the bottom of this "New Question" screen, it apparently does
nothing because I do not get a notification of any replies.

Insert a text box with some text. Go to format and set the font size and
characteristics that you want as a default. At the same time, check the box
that says "default for new objects".

Create a textbox that has the font formatted the way you want it. Then go to
Format/Font and select "default for new objects."

Re the notifications, is it possible that your questions haven't yet
received any replies so you haven't yet received notifications? (I do see
lots of responses to your "graphics quality" thread, though, so that's
probably not the case!)

Otherwise, I suppose it could be a problem if the email you used to sign up
for notifications isn't a real email address. You can check by going to
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx , and next to
the Sign In/Sign Out button, there's a button for "edit my profile." Hit
that and edit the email address there.
