Text in table gridline not displaying properly

I converted a document from PDF to word 2007. Now, in one gridline, I am
trying to type 4-letter text, but the letters go one on top of each other
instead of side by side. Wrap is not on and there appears to be plenty of
space to type 4 characters. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

With documents created in that manner, there is always the possibility of
some obscure behaviour. A solution might be to use the Convert Table to
Text functionality of Word.

The usual situation that causes this symptom is that the paragraph
inside the table cell has left and/or right indents that squeeze the
text space down to nothing.

Right-click the pile of letters and choose Paragraph. In the dialog,
if the left and right indents aren't zero, set them to zero.
