Too many pst files in Internet mail only Outlook 2000.

I did an export of my pst files in Outlook 2000, saving them to my desktop.
I did this to create a backup.

Now, I have an extra Personal Folders file in Outlook which, when I try to
open it gives me an error message.... MaPI unable to load the information
service mspst.dll....Also, Outlook will not allow me to delete this extra
Personal Folder.

Also, I cannot delete the pst files on my desktop. I get a message that says
"Cannot delete. Access is denied".

I searched for help on this in Help and at the Web site, but can find on
answer. Thank you so very much for your help.
