Tracking a Resource that is neither cost nor hours

Folks,

I'm trying to depict the use of certain terminals in my schedule.

I'm at a loss as to track these things as resources. I don't want to list
them as individual tasks as the terminals will be getting assigned around to
different tasks already in the schedule.

Any suggestions here?

Can you assign them as work resources but with zero cost? Set the
maximum units to be something representative of the number you have
(200% for 2 for example). Then you can assign them to tasks at an
appropriate level.

They will contribute to the hours of work but not to the cost. If you
want to remove the hours they contribute to the overall work in the plan
then you can see the total number of hours work they contribute from the
Resource Usage view (amongst others) and subtract their contribution
from the overall work total.
