Tricky Filter question

I need to create a cusom filter that shows only tasks that are schedule
to happen at the same time as a range of particular tasks (which wil
move from time to time).

Is there a way to craft such a custom filter? I know I can filter b
the range of dates of the tasks of interest, but that is a particularl
dumb and static way to do things. Is there a way to automate the filte
so that it always references the date range of these tasks, no matte
what they end up being
