I had a template save for labels. The boxes on the page have disappeared.
The lines or grids where I would type in the addresses have disappeared

Labels are defined by a table. The table gridlines display is probably off.

If you don't know where to find it, please tell us which version of Word
you're using...

In Word 2003 or earlier, click Table > Show Gridlines.

In Word 2007, when the cursor is in any of the labels, click the Table Tools
tab of the ribbon and click the Show Gridlines button.
