Unable to open file

I have received an error file stating it is unable to open
file from different version. I have tried to save as a
previous version but no luck there either. anyone have any
ideas or is my only option upgrading the software?

I'm having the same problem. I have 2000 6.0 and the
documents were created in 2000 not sure of the version
created in as it won't display when you look at
properties.

What is the fix?
