Unable to open ppt files saved by MAC

I have received a few ppt files from MAC users and I am unable to open the
file using Office 2007. When I double click the file the presentation file
attempts to load but fails. NO error message received!!!
I was able to find out a work around by asking a colleague to test the file,
fortunately they were able to open the file with Office 2003 and when they
save the file I was then able to also open using Office 2007.

Has anyone experienced and or resolved this issue?

May be an older version of Mac. Ask the sender to add a .ppt extension to the
file name.

You could also try this at your end before opening the file.
