Units Calculation when the Task has started.

I was plugging in some resources to a project today and had never
noticed that on started or split tasks that the units does not change
once I start statusing.

For example: I create a 10 day activity that needs one person 100% of
the time. So my duration equals 10, work equals 80 hours, and units
equal 100%. Two days into the job I status the activity to say
they're on track by putting in 16 actual hours and 2 days actual
duration. Then I find out that the guy can only work the activity
half of the time but in the end will only need the original 80 hours
to complete the job. So I set the task to fixed work and stretch the
remaing duration out to 16 days. The units still say 100% even though
the remaing work is only scheduled for 4 hours a day.

Does the units recalculate once an activity has started?

Thanks,

Lou

The units will show the maximum value anywhere along the task line.
Try using the Task Usage view. On the right pane, right click, select
details, and show the %Allocation field which will timephase for you.
