update after repair

Y

I am running Office 2000 SR-1 Premium and have always installed the
latest updates. After having some difficulties with the application, I
ran the Repair utility from the setup dialog and all is now well.
However, I am wondering about the updates I previously installed. Do
they have to be reinstalled? The MS Updates web site tells me that I
have the updates installed, but is this only because they were
previously installed and still appear in the Add/Remove Programs
listing? I suspect that the Repair utility has reinstalled old files
that have been replaced by the updates. Am I right?

Thanks.
