Update Office2003 Administrative Installation Point

I have applied the Office 2003 Service Pack 1 to my Office 2003
Administrative Installation Point. After Office2003 SP1, there have been
other patches such as KB885828 and more (see
www.mirosoft.com/office/orkarvhive/2k3updt.htm for complete list).

I have not rolled out Office2003. I would like to apply the patches to the
Office2003 admin installation point but I am unsucessful. I have downlloaded
the full client pactches so I have access to the *.MSP files. I issue the
msiexec.exe /p [path\name of MSP file] /a z:\pro11.msi /qp /lv* [path\name of
log file] I apply the MSP file to the pro11.msi file, is this correct?

I receive the followin error... "This patch package could not be opened.
Verify that the package exists and that you can access it or contact the
application vendor to verifty that this is a valid windows installer patch
package."

What am I doing wrong?

As an aside, just keep in mind that WSUS is not compatible with patched
AIP's. So if you want to use WSUS to update your clients you shouldn't
patch your AIP at all.

Does this mean that I should not apply the MSOffice 2003 Service Pack 1?
