Using Publisher 2000 I cannot open saved files?

I'm running Windows ME, with Office 2000. I cannot open saved Publisher
files. I get an error message, as follows:
"Mspub has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Mspub will now close."
I've saved files as old as several months, and as recent as 3 days, and
cannot open any of them. Has anyone else encountered, and solved this
problem?

Start out with a Detect & Repair. Choose Detect & Repair
from the Help drop down menu.
