VBA Functions

I am using Publisher 2002 to print membership cards with
barcodes. I have successfully created the file in
Publisher and the mail merge works beautifully. In order
to print the barcode properly I need to use a VBA function
(supplied by the barcode vendor) I am able to insert the
functions in Excel with no problem (=function name
(cell)). Is it possible to do that directly in Publisher
on the merged field? If so how? I have been looking and
I have not found the magic answer.

Thanks

No, you need to use the function in the Excel file, and then (possibly)
convert the Excel file to a CSV file, and then merge against the column that
the barcode software created (setting the font to the barcode font provided
by your barcode software vendor).

Louise,

Not sure what barcode program you are using but I'll presume you get a
field in Excel that looks something like this: /452152828616/

If you change the font on that line of your mailmerge to a barcode font,
you will get what you need.

***Usual caveat - if you want a discount in mailing, you may need to
supply paperwork proving your addresses are recognized. I do it and my
rates to mail a 11"x8" piece are under 7¢ each.
